AC Fitter

We are pleased to announce we are looking to hire a AC Fitter for the Engine Department, working for the BSMCruise managed vessels.

Your responsibility will include, but will not be limited to:

Assist with:
Maintenance and repair of the following:
Heating systems
Ventilation systems
Air-conditioning systems
Main refrigeration plants
Monitoring ship’s condition with regard to HVAC equipment
Maintenance of all relevant records (including refrigerant logs)
Inventory and spare parts and consumables requisitions (including refrigerant gases)
Compliance with Permits to Work that are in force
Report to ACE:
Accidents and Incidents, Near Misses, Unsafe Conditions and Unsafe Acts
Non-conformities or defects if/when discovered
Maintenance requirements and progress updates
Work and rest hour breaches / records
Compliance with safe working practices
Speaking up if/when unsafe practices or conditions are identified
Compliance with BSM’s SMS and international standards and regulations

Key Attributes:
• Previous shipboard experience or relevant experience in similar position
• Fluent in English – must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility – must be able to work various times of the day, remain calm under pressure and have a can-do attitude

Work Experience Requirements
