Carpenter

We are pleased to announce that we are looking to hire a Carpenter for the Deck Department, working for the BSMCruise managed vessels.

Your responsibility will include, but will not be limited to:

Main Responsibilities:

Furniture and fabric repairs including:
Upholstery
Uniform adjustments
Canvas and flags.
Cushions and curtains
Carpets and wallpaper
Respond to work requirements as required.
Cleanliness and upkeep of workshop and equipment
Inventory control and requisitions of fabrics and other upholstery material.
Compliance with safe working practices
Speaking up and/or stopping work when unsafe practices or conditions are identified.
Compliance with BSM’s SMS and international standards and regulations

Assist with:
Shipboard activities as required by HoDD

Key Attributes:
• Previous shipboard experience or relevant experience in similar position
• Fluent in English – must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility – must be able to work various times of the day, remain calm under pressure and have a can-do attitude
• Employee focused with a positive personality and professional attitude
