Faststream are seeking Technical Stores Managers

Faststream are seeking dynamic and skilled Technical Stores Managers to join our prestigious family focused cruise line.

As a pivotal part of the Engineer Department you'll oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of technical supplies critical to our ship's operations.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management: Source, negotiate, and purchase technical supplies, spare parts, and equipment in compliance with company policies and budgetary constraints.
2. Inventory Control: Implement efficient inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize waste, and prevent shortages during critical operations.
3. Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control standards for all technical materials, verifying compliance with industry regulations and manufacturer specifications.
4. Supplier Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, fostering partnerships to secure competitive pricing, timely deliveries, and exceptional service.
5. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a dedicated team of technical stores personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize performance and productivity.
6. Budget Oversight: Develop and manage departmental budgets, tracking expenses, analyzing variances, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in technical procurement, inventory management, or logistics, ideally within the maritime or shipping industry.
• Strong knowledge of technical materials, spare parts, and equipment used in marine engineering systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with proficiency in vendor management and contract negotiations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, such as SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code, is advantageous.
• STCW and C1/D Visa or ability to renew/obtain
