Luxury Cruise Line - Cover Cruise Staff required

**Please note: this is for the dates of 30th May-11th June 2024 and 17th July-21st September 2024. Please do not apply if you aren't available for these dates.**

YOUR ROLE:
The Cruise Staff are responsible for delivering an exceptional entertainment product to our Guests by interacting, socialising, dancing and participating in other entertainment activities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shows an interest in and knowledge of the wider entertainment world with Guests.
Ensures all entertainment presentations and entertainment activities are delivered to the highest standard.
Attends and hosts events as directed.
Participates with tour dispatches with the Explore Ashore Team.
Engages with Guests daily and deals with any complaints and provides feedback in an efficient manner.
Informs Cruise Director of any complaints.
Assists as necessary in maintaining the Library.
Assists as directed sales of books, CDs, craft materials etc.
Consistently demonstrates courteous and considerate behaviours to all guests.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
Attends passenger functions as required by Head of Department.
Partake in inspections, trainings and meetings as required by Head of Department.
Ensures that the set standards are kept, and staff members work according to their respective job descriptions.
Demonstrate the Saga Values.
Provide Exceptional Experiences every day for Guests and Colleagues

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Previous experience as Cruise Staff/Cruise Host/Social Host/ess onboard a Cruise Ship
• Proven people skills along with conflict resolution, counselling, mediating and motivational skills.
• All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.Good command of the English Language
• Certificate of medical fitness applicable to Flag State standard for the vessel and it’s trade which s/he is deployed or such higher standard as the Employer may from time to time adopt taking into account the particular requirements of the Ship Owner.
• STCW Certificates covering:

1. Personal Survival Techniques
2. Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
3. Elementary First Aid
4. Personal Safety and Social Responsibility
5. Crowd Management*
6. Crisis Management and Human Behaviour- Ensure UK Flag accepted.*
7. Security Awareness*

• Seaman’s Discharge Book*
• Valid Passport ID – with a minimum 6 months remaining.
