We are currently looking for a Technical Stores manager on behalf of our client, a major cruise brand. 

As a Technical Stores Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the Technical Stores team, providing an efficient and effective stores service to the Technical and Deck departments. You will also be working closely with the Chief Engineer, Deputy Captain, and Maintenance Managers to maintain and monitor the respective stores budget. Raising requisitions for goods and services to liaise with supply chain and logistics departments, ensure swift delivery of orders, and ensure that all stock is kept securely and stored correctly to prevent damage or injury.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous logistics experience required, preferably within a large, complex environment
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience of negotiating with external suppliers
  • Professional qualification in a relevant discipline (ie) logistics, distribution or transport is desirable
  • Knowledge of working with technical stores parts would be an advantage
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Passed Marlins English test of Proficiency (where applicable)
  • Valid Eng1 medical certificate or equivalent for the duration of each voyage
  • Ability to obtain a US C1D visa
  • You need to have worked with inventory management systems covering ideally engine/technical and not just hotel.

12 weeks on / 12 weeks off
