Position Summary:
The Audit Specialist will report to the Global Compliance & Ethics Group within the Legal Department. This role will work closely with the Director and Managers of the Global Compliance & Ethics Group and will be responsible for providing the day-to-day assistance and support required for the Company's Compliance & Ethics Program and such other related projects/tasks, as required.
Career Snapshot:
- Support management of the Company's Compliance & Ethics Hotline
- Coordinate the intake and assignment of alleged misconduct or violations received through the Compliance & Ethics Hotline (called the "AWARE" hotline).
- Participate in investigations of alleged misconduct or violations of Company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Communicate findings and issues including preparation of memoranda to document compliance inquiries and investigations.
- Generate and analyze statistics and reports to identify trends related to complete and pending compliance inquiries and investigations.
- Recommend and communicate corrective action plans including internal controls and procedures.
- Conduct independent review and evaluation of investigations to ensure that compliance issues/concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
- Develop and implement procedures to monitor and test compliance with established Company policies and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Perform compliance reviews and monitoring tasks to ensure compliance with Company policies.
- Conduct testing of the Company's Compliance & Ethics Hotline.
- Monitor the implementation status of management's corrective action plans in response to identified compliance and ethics issues and/or audits.
- Maintain a central repository for tracking corrective action plans to facilitate process improvement and compliance with Company policies.
- Prepare written reports to document findings including recommendations for correction of deficiencies or continuous improvement.
- Support development of internal and external plan to benchmark reporting statistics from the Company's Compliance & Ethics Hotline.
- Benchmark investigation protocols and procedures against best practices.
- Assist with the due diligence process including research and investigation of third parties.
- Perform analytical research and review of potential conflicts of interest, provide summary reports of issues, and assist with resolution.
- Prepare memoranda, periodic reports and presentations on compliance and ethics matters.
- Assist with maintenance of compliance records.
Requirements:
- A.A. degree from an accredited university or paralegal certification.
- Minimum 2 years of overall relevant experience.
- Limited travel, but must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, including trips abroad.
Preferences:
- A.A. degree in legal/business areas
- Experience with global/international operations/organization
