HR Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team onboard. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in managing the human resources functions on the ship, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for our crew members. This position requires strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all HR operations onboard, including onboarding, training, and performance management.
•  Ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
•  Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
•  Develop and implement HR initiatives to enhance crew welfare and engagement.
•  Collaborate with department heads to address staffing needs and support operational goals.
•  Maintain accurate HR records and reports.
•  Provide guidance and support to crew members on HR-related matters.

Qualifications:

• HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or maritime industry.
• English proficiency, French language skills are an advantage
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred.

Certification:

• Basic Training (A-VI/1)
• Security Awareness (A-VI/6-1)
• Crowd Management Training
• Medical Certificate (valid and compliant with STCW and flag state standards)
• Seaman’s book
• Passport (min. validity 6 months)
• Visa (if required by embarkation port or vessel itinerary)
• Yellow fever vaccination (only in high-risk trade areas)
• Measles vaccination (only in high-risk trade areas)
• Covid vaccination (WHO approved fully vaccinated / booster recommended)
