About the job
Responsible for coordinating, supporting, and delivering an exceptional guest service for our travelers in accordance with Grand Circle Cruise Line (GCCL) standards, while contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance of the ship equipment; from technical machinery to hotel appliances, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all machinery aboard the vessel.

• Following and adhering to Company’s procedures and policies, ensuring timely reporting and record keeping
• Follow machinery maintenance schedules, maintain records of the routine maintenance and the service attendances
• Ensuring safe operations and maintenance of the ship’s installations, deck and the engine rooms machinery
• Timely preparing of work/repair orders as per maintenance/service schedules needs
• Round inspection of the engine rooms
• Keeping the engine room clean, secure and safe
• Onboard cooperation, collaboration and communication with Captain and HM
• Hotel repairs (cabins/public areas)
• Responsible for maintaining records and safe levels of fuel, Lub-oil and other essential consumables
• Monitoring bunkering operations and other transfers
• Maintaining records of all routine and unscheduled repair and maintenance
• Maintaining workshop and its tools/equipment inventory.
• Inventory of spare parts
• Assisting with loadings, luggage loading/offloading, garbage segregation and disposal
• Assisting with preparation of dry-docking and the supervision of repairs
• Routine inspection of the ship with the Captain and the Hotel Manager
• Controlling and maintaining of all ship’s plans/drawings and instruction manuals
• Any other duties as required/instructed by Technical Superintendent or Captain

Skills/Qualifications:
• Relevant licensing
• Hands On mentality
• Eye for quality and excellence
• Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment
• Proven leadership abilities, communication skills and a proven ability to achieve the highest level of service and quality
• Fluent command of English, good command of German language
• At least 1 year of relevant job experience
