Position Summary:
The Director of Onboard Revenue will oversee the shipboard revenue management discipline for Celebrity and Azamara Cruises. Primary areas of focus will include Casino & Gaming, Bingo, Spa Services, Retail, Shore Excursions, Internet, Cell Phone and Art. This position will be responsible for delivering against organizational goals of revenue and guest satisfaction within all revenue areas. This role is also responsible for managing corporate relationships with Revenue Partners to set strategic direction for Celebrity as well as negotiate contract terms for the brands. Managing and driving revenue partners/concessionaire to ensure teams deliver required guest satisfaction, that all revenue targets are achieved, and that they develop new programs and evolve existing offerings to generate interest, revenue and satisfaction from our guests are all highlights of this position. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring all shipboard and shoreside organizations are focused on and delivering against all performance metrics with the primary focus being guest satisfaction, revenue and experiences
Career Snapshot:
- Manages and grows revenue and profit through the development and implementation of best practices and management tactics.
- Leads the corporate level executive team to track and continuously monitor all on board revenue streams while developing and assisting in the implementation of new revenue ideas and synergies.
- Works closely with third-party management partnerships to present a seamless operation to the guest (i.e. brand standards, training, recruiting and inventory controls).
- Manages and refines the contract negotiation process to ensure third-party management deal structures, timing of contracts and expectations are in the best interest of Celebrity Cruises.
- Monitors and analyzes new technology and trends within all revenue areas to provide guests with innovative (first to market) services that embody the Celebrity and Azamara brands and guests.
- Works closely with on board and corporate level Casino & Gaming arm of the organization to maximize casino revenues and player development and player tracking systems.
- Works closely and collaboratelly with all brand leaders to enhance the guest experience through integration and development of current and new experiences.
- Develops new revenue concepts and assists in the onboard revenue design and development of revenue areas on new ships.
- Works with revenue partners and company to continually improve guest satisfaction and improve onboard revenue.
- Manages strategic direction of Celebrity Shore Excursion program to elevate experiences to be in line with brand positioning and to improve guest satisfaction.
- Improves onboard guest communication program for Celebrity Cruises to meet guest expectations and enhance guest experience.

- Reviews daily, voyage, monthly and annual P&L and operating budgets to ensure departmental revenue goals are met and exceeded. With the addition of new vessels, they will be responsible for generating in excess of $700,000,000 in gross revenues, across many on board revenue areas.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in a comparable position with a highly visible, prestigious, and forward-thinking organization.
- Extensive experience in the areas of business development, contract negotiation and finance with excellent proven leadership characteristics.
- Must possess knowledge of the hospitality industry, current market trends, and economic factors; preferably within an international organization and accustomed to working with a highly diverse and remote work group.
- Ability and capability of presenting one's self in a polished and professional manner are principle characteristics.
- Must possess superior oral and written communication skills and have a keen ability to track measure and evaluate the success of a synergized shipboard revenue management program.
- Ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers, some of who will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Must be extremely customer-service oriented, yet maintain the bottom line by balancing all business objectives.
- Must have sound relationship development skills complemented by excellent communication skills both up and down the organizational chart
- Highly analytical with proven success in problem identification and implementation of timely and cost effective solutions that meet company objectives
- Must exemplify the highest standards of honesty, integrity and discretion.
- Detail-oriented person who can tackle multiple projects and complex assignments
