IT Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Coordinator to join our onboard team. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems and services on the cruise ship, supporting both guests and crew members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, network management, and communication systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance the ship’s technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues, including hardware, software, network, and communication systems for both guests and crew.
- Respond to technical issues promptly, ensuring minimum disruption to onboard operations.
- Manage and maintain the onboard IT infrastructure, including network configurations, wireless systems, satellite communications, and servers.
- Monitor network performance and security, implementing updates and backups as needed.
- Oversee the ship’s communication systems, including satellite, VoIP, and internal communication networks.
- Ensure that internet services for passengers and crew operate efficiently and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions.
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Maintain detailed logs of system operations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Prepare reports for management regarding IT performance, issues, and improvements.

- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.
- Previous experience in a maritime or hospitality environment is preferred.

- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in network administration, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and satellite communication systems.
- Strong knowledge of server maintenance, software applications, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Experience with VoIP systems, CCTV, and guest-facing internet services.
