Career Snapshot:
The Fleet Performance Senior Business Analyst role plays a key role in our efforts by providing data and decision support to Celebrity Operations. This role is responsible for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to performance, decision support, financial analysis and process efficiencies. The Analyst is responsible for the analysis, reporting and interpretation of data and providing information and recommendations to leadership on both regular and ad hoc bases. This position is responsible for the design, implementation and analysis of Celebrity Operations, guest ratings, and KPIs, and provides support for management tools including the shipboard bonus program, balanced scorecard, operations intranet site, and guest comment cards.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of data.
- Provide information and recommendations to leadership on both regular and ad-hoc basis. Provide analytical support on tactical and strategic special projects.
- Prepare reports and presentations for all levels of the department.
- Develop productive working relationships with all managers, directors and executives as well as peers and other colleagues within the department and cross-departmentally.
- Make decisions and ensure departmental metrics are tracked. Interpret data and make recommendations to business owners regarding strategy, process execution and revenue opportunities / risks. Provide decision support to operations leadership through analysis and tracking of guest ratings and performance.
- Communicate with other departments to assure that departmental policy changes or projects that will affect processes are identified and solutions are created.
- Develop new and revise/maintain existing reports and operational procedures. Write or provide executive level analysis, reports and presentations.
- Oversees, manages, and administers the Celebrity Guest Comment Card life-cycle including working with the vendor to produce and complete the card for approval and implementation.
- Analyzes, tracks and reviews all guest experience metrics for trends including guest ratings, Secure Guest Index, and guest comments
- Develops, implements, and manages the Celebrity Balanced Scorecard tool
- Responsible for 'special project' initiatives as defined by management
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (BA) from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience required.
- Two to four years related experience in financial / business analysis or related field preferred.
- Advance Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project required.
- Knowledge of Hyperion and Brio preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information to executive management and public groups.
- Ability to work, interact, and communicate with external / internal customers at all levels.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage, lead, facilitate and organize multiple small and large projects that run in tandem.
