Plumber for Balearia RoRo Passenger ferries

We are looking for experienced PLUMBER ready to join Balearia RoRo Passenger ferries - embarkation ASAP, Contract 2 months and with valid Schengen visa.
Position Summary
- Responsible to ensure that all plumbing systems onboard the vessel are working as expected.
- Execution of repair and maintenance work in all plumbing areas carried out outside of the engine room. Responsible for effectively and efficiently overseeing maintenance of all plumbing systems and equipment in accordance with Company Policies and in compliance with Public Health, any National or International standards or any other prescribed regulations. Supporting Engine operation when needed.
- Ensures proper coordination with different technical parties and departments.
Reporting Structure
- Reporting to the Hotel Engineer.
- Functional reporting to Hotel Engineer for all technical Hotel Department matters.
- Subordinates – Assistant Plumber.
Safety Duties:
- Participates in crew safety drills according to instructions.
- Must always comply with the Company’s safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures.
- Leads by example by taking care of Health and Safety of self and others.
- Ensures that all work equipment, personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety devices are being used correctly.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Valid STCW certification.
- Appropriate certification as required by regulations.
- Extensive experience in subordinate positions and on board passenger ships as a Plumber or in a similar role.
- Physically and medically fit.
- Moral integrity is required.
- Public Health, Sanitation and Environmental training courses are appreciated.
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings and manuals.
Language requirements:
Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical). English is the working and safety language on board. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and efficiently engage with guests and crew members. Additional languages are considered beneficial.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Required to stand, walk long distances, reaching and sitting. Repetitive motion of bending, going up and down stairs, climbing ladders. Lifting or pushing of up to 50lbs. The position requires overtime work and irregular schedules. Works in all areas of the vessel with noise, light traffic and distracting environments.

Status - Petty Officer.
Salary - Refer to contract.
Rotation - Refer to contract.
Key Responsibilities
Reliable plumber able to install, maintain and repair piping systems. Skilled in welding, troubleshooting issues and ensuring plumbing systems comply with all relevant codes and regulations.
Key responsibilities:
Install and repair water supply lines, waste disposal systems and related appliances and fixtures.
Inspect plumbing systems, identify issues and perform maintenance or repairs as needed (toilet bowl – evac system, sinks, scuppers, showers, beds, tables, chairs, etc.)
Cut, assemble and install pipes and fittings using hand and power tools.
Collaborate with engine fitter, electrician and other workers.
Maintain records of work performed and materials used/needed.
Compliance with safety and security regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience or training as a plumber, welding and/or plumbing licence or certification, solid knowledge of water distribution and waste disposal systems, knowledge of functionality of fire and water tight doors, closing/locking mechanisms, operation of ventilation dampers, ability to read technical drawings, skilled with welding and plumbing tools, work in confined spaces, knowledge of EVAC system and ability to work independently and as a part of a team
