Hotel and Boats Motorman for ORIENT EXPRESS CORINTHIAN, embarkation 01/March/2026, contract 5 months on / 2 months off.

Position Summary

1.  Responsible to assist with the execution of routine checks of machinery on Deck and in the Hotel and particularly all Life Boats.

Reporting Structure

1. Reporting to the Hotel Engineer and Staff Engineer

Safety Duties:

1. Participates in crew safety drills according to instructions.
2. Must always comply with the Company’s safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures.
3. Leads by example by taking care of Health and Safety of self and others.
4. Ensures that all work equipment, personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety devices are being used correctly.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

1. Valid STCW certification.
2. Valid ASE A-III/5.
3. Good knowledge and operation of the works on the Lathe machine.
4. Good welding skills (electric, gas welding).
5. Good knowledge of mechanics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and mechanical equipment.
6. Experience on vessels in an equivalent position.
7. Physically and medically fit.
8. Moral integrity is required.

Language requirements:
Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical). English is the working and safety language on board. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and efficiently engage with guests and crew members. Additional languages are considered beneficial.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Required to stand, walk long distances, reaching and sitting. Repetitive motion of bending, going up and down stairs, climbing ladders. Lifting or pushing of up to 50lbs. The position requires overtime work and irregular schedules. Works in the Engine Control Room, Engine spaces with noise, light traffic, distracting environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stands on duty as instructed by the Hotel and Staff Engineer.
2. Continuously supervises and inspects Hotel spaces and machinery assigned to him and all Life Boats during the duties and promptly reports any deficiencies or malfunctions to the Line manager.
3. The Hotel and Boat Motorman is responsible for maintenance and repair of all equipment assigned to him, under direct supervision of the Hotel Engineer and Staff C/E
