Main Function

The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Bar Manager in supervising the bar operations profitably and in full compliance with company food safety and sanitation standards. They ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by maintaining quality service, motivating the team, and managing cost control effectively.

Qualifications

• Fluent in oral and written English (working & safety language of the Company)
• Knowledge of additional major languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.) is an advantage
• Proven experience in bar management or supervisory role on cruise ships or multinational environments
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation as defined by company standards
• Familiarity with electronic cash handling systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and guest service skills

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing bar operations, ensuring excellent guest service and profitability
• Supervise and train bar staff, including Assistant Bartenders and Bar Waiters/esses
• Implement sales initiatives such as Happy Hours, cocktail demos, and theme promotions to maximize revenue
• Monitor stock levels, control costs, and prevent waste
• Ensure all drinks are prepared according to company recipes and standards
• Maintain compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
