We are hiring Executive Chefs to lead galley operations aboard our luxury river cruise vessels. This role oversees all culinary activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, efficient operations, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and motivate the galley team to deliver outstanding service and maintain a strong guest oriented culture.
• Prepare and present dishes according to the seasonal menus set by the Corporate Culinary Director. Ensure consistent quality, creativity, and adherence to high presentation standards. Conduct food demonstrations and menu briefings.
• Manage all kitchen operations, maintain an efficient administrative system, and ensure smooth workflow during service.
• Ensure full compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations. Maintain proper temperature logs, labeling, storage, and cleanliness across all workstations.
• Oversee food inventory, budgeting, and HACCP compliance
• Engage with guests, handle feedback, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Cater to special dietary needs and crew meals
• Maintain hygiene standards and conduct regular inspections
• Participate in management meetings and briefings.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in a 4- or 5-star hotel or onboard a cruise ship
• Strong knowledge of kitchen management, food preparation, and presentation
• Proven experience in team supervision, training, and motivation
• Solid background in inventory management and budget control
• Strong communication skills in English and/or German
• Ability to cater to special dietary needs
• Calm under pressure, disciplined, reliable, and well organized
• Impeccable grooming and hygiene standards
• Flexible and adaptable to operational challenges
