Electrical Technician (iii/7)

SUMMARY: The Electrical Technician is an integral member of the Electro-Technical Department, responsible for supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electronic applications on board an ultra-luxury ocean-going yacht. This includes nautical, communication, safety, and OT (Operational Technology) systems. The technician plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of critical electronic equipment and systems such as communication, navigation, safety, and security. This role reports directly to the 2nd Electrical Engineer, to the 1st Electrical Engineer or to the Electronic Engineer and supports the vessel's overall operational goals by ensuring optimal functionality of essential systems.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Electronic Systems • Support the maintenance and repair of technical and nautical OT systems in both the bridge and engine room.
• Perform maintenance on electronic safety and security systems, ensuring all alarms, fire detection, and surveillance systems are operational at all times.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electronic chart and navigation systems.
• Ensure the functionality of the Public Address and General Alarm systems.
• Maintain and repair internal and external communication systems (including wired and wireless radio systems).
• Manage the upkeep of GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) and commercial satellite communication systems.
• Oversee the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system, ensuring continuous surveillance capabilities.
• Support the operation and maintenance of electronic office equipment, including printing and publishing equipment connected to OT systems.

Luxury experience preferred 

Candidates must hold III/7 ETR licence
