Position Summary:

The position is responsible for managing and providing support for the Company's Compliance and Ethics Program, including the Ethics Hotline Program, and such other related projects/tasks, as required.
This position will have considerable interaction with all management levels, including various officers across the Company.

Career Snapshot:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company's Ethics Hotline Program
  • Oversee the ethics hotline program, the AWARE hotline and Net Claims system, to ensure they operate to best practice standards. Ensure the hotline is available and communicated to employees globally
  • Manage intake and assignment of alleged misconduct or violations received through the AWARE hotline.
  • Conduct investigations of alleged misconduct or violations of Company policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Communicate findings and issues including preparation of memorandum to document compliance inquiries and investigations
  • Provide and/or oversee training, as required, related to the AWARE hotline and Net Claims system
  • Provide reporting on the effectiveness of the Ethics Hotline Program to the Compliance and Ethics Committee
  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Internal Audit, Global Security, Human Resources, etc.) on investigations of alleged misconduct or violations of Company policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Responsible for developing and performing periodic risk assessment reviews to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability
  • Assess and design compliance related controls to mitigate identified risks
  • Responsible for developing policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, providing training on such policies and working with the appropriate departments to develop and monitor appropriate controls and procedures to facilitate compliance with such policies
  • Provide guidance to officers and employees on issues pertaining to the foregoing
  • Assist with due diligence process including research and investigation of vendors, consultants, partners and other similar parties to ensure compliance with Company policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Perform analytical research and review of potential conflicts of interest, provide summary reports of issues, and assist with resolution
  • Monitor the implementation status of management's corrective action plans in response to identified compliance and ethics issues
  • Maintain a central repository for tracking corrective action plans to facilitate process improvement and compliance with Company policies
  • Assist in preparing periodic reports on the effectiveness of the Compliance and Ethics Program to the Compliance and Ethics Committee

Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years' experience in compliance, including conducting risk assessments, investigations, developing and monitoring compliance controls, analyzing business processes, and experience in the research, review, development, and implementation of corporate policy to adhere to applicable laws and regulations
  • 2 years in a management role with staff supervision responsibility
  • Working knowledge of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, U.S. Trade Sanctions (OFAC), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines
  • Strong technical, analytic, problem solving, presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail, yet maintain a big-picture point of view
  • Highly skilled in all MS Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Limited travel expected however, must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, including trips abroad
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required. MBA, JD or other advanced degree is preferred
  • High degree of proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and project management systems
  • Able to perform research, including proficiency in the use of LexisNexis and Westlaw, and provide general guidance as to the application of Company policies and applicable laws and regulations

Preferred:

  • Direct experience managing an ethics hotline a plus
  • CCEP, CIA, CPA, ACFE or other professional certifications preferred.
