• Maintains security of reception area by limiting access only to authorized personnel.
• Assists the Pursers with check-in and check-out duties concerning passengers, including but not limited to, payment of accounts, registration credit cards, cash deposit.
• Provides personalized service by addressing Guest s with names.
• Answers questions about shore excursions, ports of call and cruise.
• Resolves Guest concerns immediately and/or refers to department head.
• Maintains detailed log of all requests, concerns, and repairs.
• Fulfills Guest requests or suggests alternatives courteously
• Demonstrates teamwork when working with other employees
• Keeps the Guest Service Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
• At all times projects a favorable image of the company to promote its aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas and endeavor.
• Performs all other duties as requested
• Support the Guest Services Manager with all Guest service-related matters.
• To supervise and adjust the labor and staff requirements so that all the daily activities are executed in an appropriate manner, on the absence of GSM.
• To oversee and assist the staff members in providing better customer service and to resolve the customer complaints as well as attend to their special requests
• To keep a track of the inventory supplies and make requisitions according to the requirements, to keep updated reports on the relevant data so that it can be presented during the meetings or whenever requested
• With Approval of GSM, implement training and development for Receptionists and Concierge.
• Ensure all embarkation preparations are completed in a timely matter.
• Supervision and training of all embarkation staff as required with the support from the Immigration Officer on the absence of GSM.
• Liaise with Immigration Officer and GSM to ensure a smooth operation between the Airport and Terminal for Guest s arriving to the ship.
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the French language is required.
