Pullmantur Ship Management Ltda is currently seeking Chief Housekeeper to join our team on board!

 

The selected candidate will ensures the smooth running of the department on a day-to-day basis according to company policies. Will also improves and eliminates guest complaints. Responsible for coordinating, directing and evaluating subordinates.

 

Potential candidates must have a minimum of two years experience in a similar position, working in hotels or other cruise ship company.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  1. Directs, supervises, supports, trains and evaluates the performance of all direct reports.
  2. Resolves guest complaints regarding the service in the department.
  3. Direct supervise the cleanliness and appearance of the areas under his responsibility.Inspects frequently all the areas and monitor the discrepancies.
  4. Conducts meetings with direct reports.
  5. Provides inventories according to the Hotel Controller request.
  6. Responsible for preparing the working schedules.
  7. Approve necessary over time.
  8. Ensures his personal appearance, personal hygiene and uniform are in accordance with the Company Policy.
  9. Attends meetings, trainings, courses and all other work related activities required.
  10. Reduces costs where it is possible.
  11. Responsible for the costs in the Department.
  12. Works closely and cooperates with superiors, colleagues in order to achieve the highest possible passenger satisfaction from the products served.

 

Hiring requirements:

  1. Minimum 2 years previous experience as Chief Housekeeper, preferably in a 4 or 5 star restaurant, resort, convention banqueting service or shipboard experience.
  2. Experience with Inventories, Cost Control and Budget.
  3. Responsible for 150 rooms minimum.
  4. Experience with Inventories, Cost Control and Budget.
  5. Good computer knowledge.
  6. Ability to read, write and speak in English in and Advanced level. Besides that, an Intermediate level of Spanish and /or French is desirable. Language test will be applied.
  7. Ability to accommodate to a six months on / two months off contract schedule for this onboard position. New contracts will depend on performance on board.
  8. Ability to adjust to, and to work in a multi national environment.
  9. A valid passport (minimum 1 year counting from the embarkation date).
  10. Ability to obtain the required visa, depending on the embarkation port.
  11. Pass Company’s pre-employment medical examination.
  12. Pass a criminal background check.Have a Seaman’s book (desirable).
  13. Ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.

 

Curriculum must be submitted in English.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
