Pullmantur Ship Management Ltda is currently seeking Security Guard to join our team on board!
The selected candidate will be responsible for the control of entry to the ship during Gangway. Will also patrol the ship during the night time hours and implement the Company’s Rules and Regulations.Potential candidates must have a minimum of two year experience in a similar position, working in hotels, other cruise ship company, Navy, Army, Police or Military service.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- The Security Guard shall be familiar with all duties regarding the security rounds and the gangway security.
- Preserve the safety of the vessel, passengers, and the crew.
- In the case of a fire alarm, the Security Supervisor is responsible for making quick decisions based on previous instructions and experience.
- To take emergency action with any situation.
- Be an additional spotter around the vessel for any type of problems, being passenger, crew or ship related, and shall report immediately any unusual incidents or situations.
- Conduct frequent security inspections on the crew quarters during the duty hours.
- Participate in maintaining good order and conduct in the vessel.
- Works closely and cooperates with Superiors, colleagues in order to achieve the highest possible passenger satisfaction from the products served.
- Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required.
Hiring requirements:
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in the Security area, working in hotels, other cruise ship company, or Army/Maritime/Aviation/Police.
- Access control including anti-terrorist countermeasures, security screening methods and equipment operation (x-ray, metal detector, explosives/narcotics.
- Incident command, including first responder, scene and evidence preservation, investigation, interview and documentation.
- Interpersonal skills that include strong communication and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English in and Advanced level. Besides that, an Intermediate level of Spanish and /or French and/or Portuguese is desirable. Language test will be applied.
- Ability to accommodate to a six months on / two months off contract schedule for this onboard position. New contracts will depend on performance on board.
- Ability to adjust to, and to work in a multi national environment.
- A valid passport (minimum 1 year counting from the embarkation date).
- Ability to obtain the required visa, depending on the embarkation port.
- Pass Company’s pre-employment medical examination.
- Pass a criminal background check.Have a Seaman’s book (desirable).
- Ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.
Curriculum must be submitted in English.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
