Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Director to lead all hotel operations aboard a luxury hospitality vessel. This senior leadership position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving operational excellence, maximizing onboard revenue, and fostering a culture of service excellence among a diverse, multicultural team.

The successful candidate will oversee all hotel departments, ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction, crew engagement, vessel appearance, public health compliance, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide strategic direction and leadership across all hotel operations.
* Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through efficient, personalized, and luxury-level service delivery.
* Lead and mentor Heads of Department within Hotel Operations.
* Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
* Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the vessel and proactively resolve operational challenges.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

* Drive guest satisfaction initiatives and continuously enhance the guest journey.
* Analyze guest feedback and implement improvement plans to increase loyalty and service quality.
* Champion personalized service standards, guest recognition, and service recovery programs.
* Ensure all guest-facing areas maintain impeccable presentation, ambiance, and readiness.

 Performance & Financial Management

* Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), including guest satisfaction metrics.
* Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency.
* Oversee hotel operational budgets, inventory management, and cost control measures.
* Prepare and present operational reports and performance analyses to senior leadership.

 Team Development

* Inspire, coach, and develop department leaders and team members.
* Identify training opportunities and support talent development initiatives.
* Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive working environment within a multicultural setting.

 Compliance & Safety

* Ensure compliance with all public health, sanitation, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Participate in inspections, audits, drills, and emergency preparedness activities.
* Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and vessel appearance.
* Support company safety initiatives and ensure proper use of equipment and protective gear.

 Qualifications:

* Minimum 6–8 years of experience in luxury hotel operations, including multi-outlet environments.
* At least 5 years of leadership experience in a senior management role.
* Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
* Strong understanding of luxury service delivery and guest experience management.
* Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and inventory control.

* Previous cruise line experience.
* Experience in luxury hospitality, resorts, hotels, or other premium service-focused industries.
* Additional language skills beyond English.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience with hotel management systems such as Fidelio or similar platforms.

* Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential.
* Additional language skills are considered an advantage.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship.
