Communication Services Manager

  • Needs shipboard experience, essential

  • Needs extensive guest services experience

  • Needs to be extremely PC, cellphone and tablet savvy

  • Needs to be creative when problem solving and troubleshooting

  • Assisting guests/crew members to connect to WIFI (very busy especially the first 2 days of a cruise)

  • Assisting with phone issues

  • Fixing issues with the tablets and/or PCs in the Internet Café

  • Problem solves issues with the Wi-Fi of the whole ship as they arise

 

• Upselling internet packages (commission on sales)
• Meet or exceed sales goals
• Answering questions about charges to their account for WIFI usage
• Answering questions about why their minutes have run out, adding minutes back to their account
• Report any technical issues to the ship's IT support team promptly.


• Contract: 24 weeks on / 8 weeks off
• Cabin: Single/Double (ship dependent)
• Uniform: Personal clothing. Business attire/professional
• Salary: $2,100 per month while onboard (plus commission/bonus)
• 3 stripes (free internet!)

*Must have all documents (Passport, Visa, STCW and Seamans Book) VALID - Essential
