Faststream Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Head Waiter on behalf of a leading luxury ocean cruise operator.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced restaurant professional to join a world-class onboard hospitality team, supporting the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of the onboard restaurants.
• Lead, coach and motivate a multicultural restaurant team.
• Ensure the highest standards of food and beverage service and guest satisfaction.
• Manage guest reservations, seating and special requirements.
• Maintain compliance with public health, hygiene and safety standards.
• Support inventory, stock control and restaurant operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Waiter, Assistant Maître d' or similar position within a premium hospitality environment.
• Previous shipboard experience in the position is required.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience leading multicultural teams.
• Valid STCW certification and seafarer documentation.
• Ability to provide the last 2 end-of-contract appraisals from previous/current company.
