As a Photo Manager, you will ensure that the best quality service is provided. This position is responsible for the co-ordination of both production and sales forces to maximize the sales and profits of the onboard photo department. The Photo Manager must work towards achieving profitable results for the Cruise Line while maintaining full compliance and professional integrity of all policies. They are expected to project the highest level of professionalism to the staff and the Guests while offering quality Customer Service to all.

Essential Functions:
• The Photo Manager is responsible for:
• The quality of all service.
• Quality Customer Service.
• Trainings of the Photographers and new hires.
• Maintain positive staff attitudes at all times and monitor the levels of enthusiasm carried by the team. Negative attitudes must be dealt with quickly and convincingly. Disciplinary actions and procedures should take place if necessary.
• Retail and Production Inventory Control.
• Gallery and Lab workflow.
• Work schedules of all photographers and Asst. Photo Mgr.
• Photo department administration and reporting.
• Lab Failure Procedures.
• Revenue Targets
• LMS and Kiosk Operation
• Controlling the cost of operation
• Manage sales and production of operation.
• Always assist the Asst. Photo Manager with the gallery operation and production.
• Full professionalism used in running sales and production areas.
• All photo staff are constantly evaluated, and any expectations are communicated and documented.
• All company owned equipment is secured and protected from damage or neglect.
• Any staff terminations are administered in a professional manner, and all correct procedures are followed.
• Work schedules are fair with proper rotation in place, unbiased and distributed before the start of each cruise. Any changes are communicated as quickly as possible.
• The Photo Manager is responsible for the quality control of all finished products and services.
• At the end of the month a team meeting should be held to motivate the team and discuss all issues of quality control. Input will be given by the Asst. Photo Manager and rest of team.
• Photo Manager and Asst. Mgr. should work together to maximize the sales and profits and reduction of the cost of the operation.
• Provide necessary training for staff.
• Document and communicate request for repairs to respected department heads
Qualifications:
• A basic degree and a diploma in a photography institute. and Lab operation.
Experience:
• At least 6 years’ experience in the field of photography and lab operation.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience as Photo Manager with excellent knowledge of shooting, printing and editing.
• Management of gallery and lab operations on board ships preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent knowledge of handling Digital Kiosk, LMS and Dark room software and good hands-on editing pictures through LMS, Dark room and uploading in Kiosk.
• Advanced typing and computer software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Photo shop, Light room, LMS, Darkroom Software, Adobe Premier Video Editing, Final Cut Pro)
• Able to troubleshoot Kodak QSS printers and maintenance.
• Able to plan, organize and provide quality service to the guests.
• Ability to efficiently manage and run the operation smoothly to generate revenue.
• Efficiency in handling errors and trouble shoot the printers.
• Able to run the Dark room, LMS, Kiosk operation efficiently.
• Ability to reduce cost of operation on a cruise-by-cruise basis.
• Teamwork skills are vital.
• Skilled in customer service.
• Customer service/guest relations oriented, well organized with excellent leadership skills.
• Should be very proactive.
• Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.
• Must have a professional appearance and good hygiene.
• Respect for all co-workers and guests.
• Pride in your work by creating positive energy, excitement and fun.
• Able to work 7 days a week.
• Demonstrate positive behaviors, smiling, being polite and courteous.
