Engine Mechanic – Large Cruise Ship

We are seeking an experienced Engine Mechanic to join a large cruise ship currently undergoing an extensive maintenance and refurbishment project in Belfast.

• Required Documents: Valid C1/D visa and ILO 98 Seaman’s Book

Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the vessel’s Engineering Department with mechanical maintenance, repairs and project work during the ship’s ongoing refurbishment programme.

Candidates from both cruise vessels and other suitable maritime backgrounds can be considered, provided they have strong hands-on mechanical experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Engine Mechanic, Motorman, Fitter or similar marine engineering position
• Strong practical mechanical maintenance and repair experience
• Experience working with pumps, valves, piping, machinery and general engine-room equipment
• Previous shipboard experience
• Valid STCW certification
• Valid C1/D visa
• ILO 98-compliant Seaman’s Book
• Available to join at short notice

Previous experience onboard large cruise ships would be advantageous, but is not essential.
