POSITION SUMMARY:
Guest Information Department is responsible for processing various guest, crew and employee surveys and forms. The Data Entry employee compares data on screen with source document or re-enters data in verification format. Employee also analyzes guest and crew comments and codes comments to direct data to proper departments and management reports. Employees also maintain the marketing database by processing forms received from various sources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluates and enters data regarding guest surveys
- Translates comments from guest surveys from various languages to English
- Enters data from Guest Clearance Information cards and Guest Registration Faxes that include personal and demographic information. This data provides governmental reports and creates record for guests in company marketing database
- Processes forms to enroll guests in company Loyalty programs
- Scans guest and crew surveys using OMR scanners
- Processes crew and crew travel surveys received from ships by typing and coding crew comments and ratings based on crew experiences
- Creates records in Marketing databases for future Prospects provided by direct mail pieces or excel worksheets provided by other departments
- Maintains Marketing database by processing undeliverable mail, business reply cards and correspondence provided by customers
- Periodically picks up forms from ships, mailroom and courier facilities

High School graduate required
Associates Degree preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
The ability to read and write English and to understand and interpret written procedures
The ability to give and receive instructions and directions and effectively present information, both orally and in writing
Working knowledge of computers and a variety of Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc) and ability to work with computer scanners
Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and have the ability to communicate tactfully, verbally and in writing
Must be able to work independently within a team environment.
Employee must pass required levels of typing and accuracy (Ability to type 35 words per minute required)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Employee must be able to pick up forms from ships, mailroom or various sources. Need ability to lift boxes. Use of scanners might require standing for numerous hours.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, and operate a pc. The employee communicates, listens, compares variables, and assesses information.
