Rate of pay: £59.92 per day

Contract length: 6 months on followed by 2 months off

Job description

The entertainment is by far the one of the most memorable experiences about a cruise for our highly valued customers, and due to the popularity of P&O cruises entertainment staff are in high demand.

The successful applicant will be will be responsible for providing a varied range of entrainment and leisure opportunities during both the day and the evening for passengers, in order to enhance their cruise experience. The Entertainment Officer position (yes that’s right, you will be an officer!) is one that is visible to passengers at all times, taking a proactive role in the various activities delivered by the entertainment division. As an officer you will have the benefit of; an officer’s uniform, hosting cocktail parties and gala dinners for passengers and passenger deck privileges to include; the passenger gym, swimming pool, restaurant and a host of other exclusive facilities.

We are looking for experienced and talented people in the following areas:

• Singing and Dancing
• Hosting
• DJ’ing
• Sports and Sports Hosting
• Arts and Crafts

We are very interested to hear from all specialist entertainers, but especially if you are a good ‘all rounder’ who will be eager to take part in any of our extensive Entertainment activities. To succeed in this role you must have previous experience taking part in high profile entertainment within the leisure and hospitality industries, excellent customer service skills and be committed to delivering outstanding entertainment is essential.

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this position you must...

Have previous entertainment experience, preferably onboard ships or in holiday camps, be confident in at least 3 of the above listed disciplines and have experience entertaining within 4/5* hotels or ships

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the world’s leading Cruise brands. However, life on board does mean working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for the 6 months that you are onboard. Your ten hours will be split between morning, afternoon and evening activities. In return, we offer exceptional rates of pay. All accommodation costs are covered and you will be offered a shared cabin, with all meals and uniform provided.
