Chinese-Mandarin Speaking - Receptionist

A Chinese Speaking Receptionist for a position on board a River Cruise Ship sailing along the European Rivers.The Receptionist supports the Front Desk Manager and Hotel Manager. The Receptionist is co-responsible for a friendly and polite interaction with the passengers at the front desk to guarantee a maximum satisfaction of the guests as well as an efficient organisation and realisation at the front desk. Besides, the Receptionist helps the Front Desk Manager with taking care of correct accounting and administration related to purchases and cash-handling. He/she is a link between the passengers and reports directly to the Front Desk Manager.

TASKS

• Delivering excellent customer service
• Ensuring knowledge of staff movement inside and outside the ship
• General administrative support; preparing letters and documents
• Assisting in keeping the hotel reception area clean and tidy
• Dealing with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
• Fulfilling all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety
• Providing reports for the management

REQUIREMENTS

• At least two - three years of hotel or prior ship experience in a comparable position
• Fluent in Mandarin/Chinese and English speaking skills
• Degree in relevant subject will considered as advantage
• A flexible and motivated team player and a high degree of social competence
• Friendly appearance
• Organisational skills and attention to detail
• Computer literate
• Stress resistant
