Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing strategies and initiatives to successfully increase digital revenue with a focus on web sales. The E-commerce leader will be responsible for identifying and partnering with data specialist and ecommerce experts to develop a comprehensive plan for segmenting and pathing our target users while driving a team to deliver superior results. This position reports to the AVP, Digital and will work closely with marketing, IT, revenue management, and our partner brand, Royal Caribbean.
Career Snapshot:
- Overall owner of transactional revenue areas of site, including pre-cruise planning, booking funnel, and promotions.
- Develop strategic ecommerce initiatives leveraging customer and industry data to increase total web-driven revenue.
- Provide leadership and direction on merchandising and product positioning, partnering with Product team and Sales organization.
- Evaluate new web technologies to optimize conversion based on improved relevance.
- Develop segmentation roadmap to target our most valuable users and drive the highest-revenue product sales in cruise and pre-cruise products.
- Leverage recommendations tools and data platforms for upselling and cross-selling products.
- Manage Global Product Manager, Marketing Manager and two producers who will be responsible for identifying customer requirements and market trends, business cases, creating user stories for new product features, competitive analysis, and product positioning, pricing and tracking key product line metrics.
- Collaborate with design and creative to create a holistic and successful user experience that adhere to the high standards of our Modern Luxury brand
- Work with Marketing Analytics to develop dashboards to measure key digital web indicators to monitor performance and uncover insights as an indispensable component of success
- Facilitate relationships and efforts with Hotel Ops, International, Revenue Management, and other departments critical to the success of the digital channels
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelors required.8-10 years’ experience with consumer-facing websites and strong familiarity with e-commerce best practices.
- Min 5 years of managing people cross-functionally and directly.
- Preferred background: luxury, fashion, retail, or hotel.
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for independent problem-solving, have proven data analysis skills, show strong ownership/commitment, and have proven leadership experience in managing technology projects across teams.
Preferred:
- MBA preferred.Detailed understanding of online marketing and ecommerce, role of online in customer contact strategy as it relates to online, building customer engagement and direct sales via digital channels.
- Experience in all phases of the web development life cycle, with familiarity with the Agile methodology.
- Highly motivated and positive "Can Do" attitude.
- Ability to work simultaneously with multiple teams in different locales, different time zones, different levels of digital/online knowledge.
- Team Player.Flexible on working hours.
