Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the development of engaging digital tools for customers early in the vacation purchase process. The Senior UX Designer will work closely with the Engagement Product Manager to differentiate the Celebrity brand through interactive storytelling, video, social media, immersive design, and emerging technologies. This individual will serve as a design lead on mobile and web projects and will be expected to act as the user advocate throughout the product development lifecycle. The Senior UX Designer will display proven creative talent and expert-level abilities in design, user experience, interaction design and user-centered design principles. This position reports to the Digital Design Manager and will work closely with marketing, IT, sales, revenue management and our partner brand, Royal Caribbean.

• Deeply understand target users needs, motivations and behaviors in delivering and managing projects that ultimately seek to drive conversion.
• Produce design artifacts such as sketches, wireframes, interaction flows, prototypes, and mocks as needed to support brisk, productive cross-functional exploration, prioritization and usability assessments.
• Quickly and succinctly mock up concepts that can be tested and optimized through iterative development.
• Translate business requirements into documented navigation paths, UI page layouts, wireframes and/or storyboards.Develop personas, user scenarios, and other analysis documents to inform the design.
• Provide industry best practices and present emerging concepts in the intersection of design and technology, and apply these concepts to Celebrity’s Digital Marketing.
• Ability to understand front-end development principles to deliver user experiences that delight consumers while smartly leveraging technical resources and positively impacting site performance.
• Manage multiple projects at the same time and be able to prioritize tasks and set expectations within an agile, fast-paced environment.
• Build and manage working relationships with IT team and internal stakeholders with an ability to clearly articulate the design goals and challenges within the context of the larger business goals.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelors required.8-10 years working experience.
• At least 5 years experience with consumer-facing websites, strong product sensibility, and familiarity with modern web technologies.
• Familiar with Front End Development, ideally skilled in HTLML and JS.
• Experience with Basecamp or similar agile tools for tracking project.
• Experience with mobile/tablet products, social media, and analytics packages.
• Hospitality, luxury, or ecommerce background is a plus.

Preferred:

• Design / UX specialization preferred.Highly motivated and positive 'Can Do attitude.
• Ability to work simultaneously with multiple teams in different locales, different time zones, different levels of digital/online knowledge.
