Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing operations support, analysis and coordination to Shore Excursions (Land Discoveries) for Management on all three major brands  (Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity and Azamara). This includes obtaining, analyzing, and validating ship's shore excursion operations performance data.

Career Snapshot:

• Assesses, and reports to management, the performance of the shore excursions teams through monitoring of daily revenue reports, voyage reports and commission payouts
• Oversees weekly sales results by ship and prepares weekly executive reports
• Conducts periodic conference and/or virtual meetings with shipboard teams to discuss performance opportunities and challenges
• Participates in product meetings, actively represents the onboard perspective and makes recommendations consistent with onboard sales strategies
• Is the liaison with crew scheduling to create and oversee staffing plans which comply with company policy
• Evaluates online tour ratings and comments to obtain feedback on tour product and overall onboard operation
• Recommends, implements and maintains processes, policies and procedures to enhance revenues, improve safety, and optimize the efficiency of the shore excursion operation
• Collaborates with brand managers of Royal and Celebrity/Azamara to ensure consistency within brands and leverage best practices
• Recommends strategies to drive incremental revenues
• Provides support to call centers or agents with questions regarding tour program availability or specifics

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, travel or business administration, or other related discipline or equivalent years of directly related experience
• 1-3 years of experience in Global Tour Operations [GTO] and/or planning or supporting tour program development
• Thorough understanding of GTO in-house management/IT systems desirable
• Good understanding of international destinations
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to analyze trends and pricing/costing data
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to work independently as well as a team member
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and via email
• May be required to travel for training and onboard reviews

Preferences:

• Shipboard experience desirable, in depth experience with AS400
