Marine Superintendent - Cruise

The Company

I am currently working with an expanding Cruise company, who are looking for a Marine Superintendent to join their team. The position is based in central Europe, and will involve travel.

The Role

As Marine Superintendent you will report directly to the Fleet Manager. You will ensure that vessels are operated in line with legislation, and to optimum efficiency. You will be a major point of liaison between the company's Masters and the Ship Operations department, you will ensure that HSEQ regulations are met and that all operations are performed within budget. In this diverse role you will conduct annual vessel inspections, and be a key presence at Dry Dockings and have regular contact with Ship Owners.

The ideal candidate will have:

• English Language skills
• Chief Mate Unlimited (or higher)
• Seagoing experience - ideally as Chief Mate or higher on Cruise ships
• Expedition Cruise experience
• Strong organization, delegation and interpersonal skills
• Strong budgeting experience
• It is essential that you have up to date maritime legislation knowledge
• Shorebased experience would be an advantage
