Housekeeping Stewardess

80m Research vessel requires a Housekeeping Stewardess to join their crew in September.

The vessel itself is world cruising and the joining point will be in San Francisco (B1/B2 VISA required prior to joining). They are a scientific research vessel and as such deal with lots of scientists on-board, so an interest in oceanographic science would be a bonus. They have a comprehensive training scheme in place and a good team spirit. They also have good recreational facilities for the crew.

They would ideally like candidates with a year experience either on yachts or cruise ships, both will be equally considered.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join a well known and exciting research vessel, working alongside a multi-skilled and multi-national crew. The job description includes general cleaning of accommodation spaces as directed, supporting chefs with inventory of dry food and drinks, daily laundry duties when required, inventory of uniforms store, assisting scientists on their housekeeping and interior matters and cleaning public and cabin heads.

Requirements:

• Ability to work in the US (B1/B2 VISA may be required)
• STCW & ENG1 up to date and valid
• One year experience of ship/ yacht cleaning
• Positive attitude to the Marine environment
• Start September – Salary currency depending on country of residence (€,£,$) e.g. 2261 EURO paid 12 months of the year – 1:1 ratio rotation usually taken 2 months on/off
