Engineering Instructor - Cruise

The company:

Faststream are working closely with a leading Maritime Training Centre that uses the very latest, state-of-the-art technology and methodology for training purposes. The centre consists of Bridge/Engine Room Full Mission & Part Task Simulators, including dedicated Assessment Part Task Simulator & rooms. Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Instructor with cruise experience to join their expanding team.

The role:

• Your role will be to deliver training to ship-board technical staff.
• You will develop courses/ new procedures to be implemented on board ships.
• Keeping up to date with current practices and technology.
• Attend regular ship visits to maintain/ update practices on-board.

The role requirements:

• You will have previously been in the role of Chief Engineer/ Superintendent, First Engineering Officer or a Subject Matter Expert.
• Cruise ship experience is required for this position.
• Experience in teaching/ instructing would be an desirable.
• You must be able to work well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.
