Electrical Technician - Ferries

My client is a successful Passenger Ferry company based in Scotland, who has entered an exciting period of restructure and growth. Due to this they are looking to employ an Electrical Technician on a permanent basis, to join their Asset Management team.

The successful candidate for this role will undertake planned, preventative and dry dock maintenance. You will work closely with the Senior Electrical Technician, to ensure safety procedures are observed whilst working on board the vessels or in the workshops, prepare risk assessments and method statements for tasks to be completed whilst at sea or in dry dock, and undertake works in relation to installation maintenance and overhaul of electrical and electronic equipment on board the vessels.

The ideal candidate will have an HNC or equivalent marine electrical engineering qualification, and have experience working with electrical systems on board vessels.

Other desired experience:

• Health and Safety / Risk assessment
• Work planning and prioritising; writing work specs and electrical risk assessments
• Marine Electrical and electronics
• Passenger Vessel/small craft knowledge
