We have open positions for Housekeeping Supervisors with a 5* American Cruise Line.

Job Summary
Management of the entire Housekeeping operation including training, inter-department communications and staff scheduling. Works in conjunction with the Assistant Chief Housekeeper to coordinate, schedule, and supervise the cleaning activities.

Job Description
Maintains professional and courteous manners of physical and verbal interactions with guests and crew member.
Directs, coaches, supports, supervises and evaluates with the Chief Housekeeper, the performance of all direct reports.
Manages the assignment of duties, responsibilities and workstations to his/her staff. Observes and evaluates staff and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service.
Reviews with the Assistant Chief Housekeeper the requirements of the day’s schedule.
Will host a daily pre-shift meet with direct reports to review the upcoming day, any changes and/or revisions to programming based on itinerary and weather conditions.
Is responsible for the off loading and loading of the guest luggage.
Is responsible for checking public area bathrooms, all guest and crew areas, and all stairs and landings. Also conducts inspections in public areas as well as cabins.
Responds to guest concerns in a professional and positive manner; takes ownership of guest concerns, by following-up and ensuring complaints are resolved to the guest’s satisfaction.
Is responsible for cost containment through the proper use, handling and maintenance of records, reports, supplies and equipment.
Conducts workstation spot checks to ensure items are correctly stored to minimize deterioration and waste.

Requirements:
Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.
1 / 2 years housekeeping supervisory experience in a 4* / 5* hotel, resort or Cruise Line (shipboard experience preferred).
1 / 2 years previous cleaning experience, preferably in a 4* / 5*hotel, resort or Cruise Line (shipboard experience preferred).
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, use of equipment and chemical handling.
Very strong management, communication, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing personalized services
Ability to communicate tactfully with, department heads, coworkers, etc to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety software packages such as Excel, Word or related programs.
Ability to speak English clearly and cordially with guests. Also ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. Additional languages are preferred.
Good physical conditions are required.
