Houseman Team Leader - Middle East – Private Estate

Position: Houseman Team Leader

Start Date: Aug 2020 - Start date subject to COVID19 country borders opening

Package: Up to €3,500 per month, 1 month vacation, accommodation provided, all meals, flight allowance and full medical insurance, 12 Month renewable contract

Team Leader can work unsupervised and able to lead a team during a shift.

Job expectations

  • Thorough Housekeeping knowledge
  • Chemical´s/cleaning products knowledge
  • Come up with the ideas
  • Basic Housekeeping equipment and Housekeeping machinery knowledge

Cleaning Techniques

  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, brushing
  • Knowledge of different surfaces
  • Gold leaf, metal, glass, stainless steel, wood
  • Working in high and very high areas

Making sure that Staff Leave Form is completed for the assigned team and approved for below reasons:

Vacation (paid leave), personal leave (without the compensation), AWOL (without the compensation, unauthorized leave - did not show up for work), sick leave (doctor´s certificate after 2 days needed), bereavement (paid leave, as per employee handbook), other (for any other leave that is not stated above).

  • To ensure all areas are done, clean and safe
  • To ensure that all housemen tools are clean, safe and working
  • To ensure that all housemen are following HACCP standards and company color-coding cleaning rags system
  • To unsure all staff members are on duty on time and if not report it
  • To ensure that the grooming standards of assigned team is up to the company standards
  • To inspect that all working areas are inspected frequently
  • To provide job related trainings to assigned team on a daily basis
  • Restocking of the lockers whenever needed
  • To follow safety standards of the company
  • To identify and report maintenance issues
  • To ensure all storages are clean and in a good order
  • To ensure all area are sanitized and disinfected at all the time
  • Marble stripping, waxing, polishing, and crystallizing
  • To ensure all windows, window frames, doors, door thresholds, hinges, window/door seals are clean and/or polished at all the time
  • To ensure all staff corridors, staircases, elevators and other areas are clean and in a good shape
  • To ensure all vents and A/C systems are clean at all times
  • To ensure all administration duties of the job are complete:

On a daily basis:

  • PC checklist (MS Excel spreadsheet), training log, disinfection log, housemen attendance sheet, sweeper operational log, buggies cleanliness checklist,

On a weekly basis:

  • Sweeper general cleaning log, sweeper checklist for distilled water in batteries,

On a monthly basis:

  • Personal development review (on monthly basis)

Whenever necessary (newcomers or lack of knowledge):

  • Personal training plans.
  • To help with the cleaning and maintaining of the garbage room.

You will be part of a large team of European hospitality professionals. You must be well presented, highly experienced and flexible.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
