Electrical Engineer (Cruise) – Worldwide

Navis Consulting are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer for one of our prestigious cruise ship clients. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems as directed by the Chief Electrical Engineer to ensure safe operation, environmental protection and passenger comfort.

POSITION SUMMARY / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems onboard as directed by the Chief Electrical Engineer.
• Responsible for reporting any concerns with the electrical systems to the Chief Electrical Engineer.
• Be familiar with the ships electrical Emergency and Safety Systems. Must be able to operate the Emergency Generator and Emergency Switchboard.
• Be familiar with the operation of the Main Generators and the Main Switchboards.

EDUCATION

• Minimum of two (2) years prior experience working as an electrical technician is required.
• Intermediate to Advanced level English verbal and writing skills, including the proper use of English grammar is required.
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of electronic equipment and systems is required.
