Pastry Sous Chef Required for Silversea Cruises a 6* Luxury Cruise Ship

We are currently searching for an experienced Pastry Chef who can provide the right sweet treats, cakes, biscuits and chocolates for all outlets, whether it’s a small intimate fine dining degustation menu, Italian specials, 6 course country based menu which changes daily or our very popular afternoon teas.

Managing a small team, your role is to ensure that every piece of pastry product in your outlet is up to our very high standards, meets both presentation and taste expectations and your section meets all health, safety and food hygiene standards.

As part of the supervisory team for the galley, you will also be involved in food hygiene inspections, stock control, ordering, rostering and general admin.

The role is diverse and as a chef and supervisor, you would need to be to!

To be considered for this position, you would require:

  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management Pastry Chef role in a fine dining establishment or very fast paced 5* hotel
  • Have experience of working in a multi-national team
  • Work with regularly changing menus (on ships they change daily)
  • Training and developing of team
  • Good computer skills
  • Fluent English
  • Culinary qualifications
