One of our leading Marine clients are currently looking for an experienced Marine Project Engineer to join their team, to be working from the head office in Netherlands. This client is a well-established company currently employing an excess of 1500 crew and staff worldwide, responsible for a diverse fleet of over 100 vessels in total.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support the identification of the safety risk assessment as well as other environmental aspects and impacts for vessel operations.
  • Ensure that all applicable legal requirements are compliant by all ships and report any corrective actions when needed.
  • Keep up to date with the Safety Management System, as well as commit to consistent improvements in order to maintain the quality, accuracy, adequate and efficient procedures. Be an improviser; come up with and develop new constructive ideas.
  • Maintain, control and monitor port and charterer requirements, crossing over with the Technical Superintendent.
  • Keep track of the performance, as well as finalisation of main goals.
  • Attend regular meetings with Region Operations Teams in order to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements.
  • Keep track of documentation as well as report on the progress of the project to stakeholders and clients.


Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in maritime engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Experience in an international setting.
  • Fluent (verbal and written) in English.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Take initiative, and Excellent communication skills with ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly.
  • Team player, and able to engage and cooperate at all organizational levels.
  • Confident decision-making ability.
