Electronic Engineer

For our growing fleet, we are currently searching for an Electronic Engineer.

The responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Maintenance of all electronic equipment and systems as directed by the HoEI to ensure safe operation, environmental protection and passenger comfort
Monitor the operation of electronic equipment and systems on board
Diagnose and rectify electronic faults
Maintenance and repair, with approval from the HoEI and following formal risk assessment procedures, of:
Bridge electronic and navigation equipment
Satellite communication systems
Electronic and control systems related to safety systems
Telephone (PBX) and internal communication infrastructure (pager, radios)
CCTV and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and equipment
Familiarity with Class Rules and industry standards and the implications of any modifications to electronic systems

Requirement:

Nationally recognized Bachelor´s Degree or Technical Diploma in Electronics or Electronic Engineering (STCW Electro Technical Officer (Reg. III/6))
STCW trainings in line with requirements for work on passenger vessel
Up-to-date technical knowledge of electronic equipment and systems
Intermediate to Advanced level of proficiency in electronic trouble shooting and solving electronic problems
Excellent verbal and written command of the English language
Strong communication skills
Diligence and punctuality
Ability to work well with multinational crew
12 months of actual sea service in same position as applied for
At least two excellent appraisal reports or references

Contract conditions:

Attractive salary based on experience in rank and loyalty to owner
Contract length 3,5 to 4,5 month
