Faststream are seeking experienced Assistant Pastry Chefs for an award winning people focused premium cruise line.

Are you an experienced and passionate pastry chef who is highly organised and able to collaborate in a face-paced environment brining strong management and coaching skills to ensure a high quality offering for passengers and crew?

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to create and execute high-quality desserts and pastries in line with the cruise line's culinary philosophy.
2. Ensure the timely and consistent production of desserts for various dining outlets on the cruise ship.
3. Adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
4. Contribute to menu planning, bringing creativity and innovation to dessert offerings.
5. Interact with guests, providing recommendations, accommodating dietary restrictions, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Requirements:

1. Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry arts.
2. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Assistant Pastry Chef, on board cruise vessels
3. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
4. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing schedules.
5. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
6. Valid STCW and C1/D Visa
7. Availability to join ASAP
