Tasks and Responsibilities
• Full responsibility for the entire Food and Beverage service operation on board
• Plan and monitor working hours of Restaurant and Bar team
• Supervise service in various areas, including restaurant, bar, lounge, and the sundeck
• Manage, motivate, and train the entire Restaurant and Bar team, ensuring their optimal
performance
• Organize and execute ship functions and special events related to Food and Beverage services
• Maintain quality control of lunch/dinner setups in the restaurant and lounge
• Implement cost control measures for the bar in accordance with the budget
• Conduct stock and inventory procedures according to company protocols
• Prepare the ship for opening and closing at the beginning and end of the season
• Welcome guests and engage in social interactions during mealtimes
• Conduct daily menu presentations alongside the Executive Chef
• Greet and escort guests to their staterooms on embarkation day
• Perform inventories following company procedures
• Ensure proper storage of stock
• Engage in departmental "Daily meetings"
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role as Head of department
• Aboard cruise vessels is requirement
• The position entails extensive walking and the ability to stand for extended periods
• A guest-focused, service-oriented approach, along with a positive demeanor and professional
appearance, is essential
• In-depth knowledge of wine and bar operations is required
• Food knowledge, knowledge of international cuisine
• Service style knowledge
• Knowledge of hygiene procedure
• Proficiency in public relations, including a strong command of English is
expected. Also German language is highly preferable.
• Familiar with a multicultural working environment
• Familiar with travelling in Europe independently
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, working effectively with crew
members from diverse backgrounds and nationalities
• A friendly disposition and a welcoming personality are highly valued
• Flexibility to work according to company standards, which may involve irregular hours, is
required
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship.

Good knowledge of the following languages is required: English, German
