Communication Purser (Desktop Publisher) - Onboard Saga Cruises

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and skilled in communications? We are looking for a Communications Purser to join our onboard team, responsible for coordinating and producing all written communications for guests during their cruise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, produce, and ensure the quality of all onboard written communications, including newsletters, TV guides, event flyers, and more.
• Edit and produce menus, opening hours, wine lists, personalized stationery, and port information for guests.
• Create and manage daily programs and signage, ensuring they meet company guidelines.
• Collaborate with various departments to manage guest communications and ensure seamless onboard experiences.
• Produce and distribute printed materials like crosswords, quizzes, newspapers, invitations, and crew newsletters.
• Maintain the onboard telephone directory and manage printing supplies.
• Assist with guest inquiries and provide general assistance as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in desktop publishing or guest communications in a hospitality or cruise environment.
• Strong desktop publishing and artwork skills.
• Advanced users of Adobe CS (emphasis on InDesign and Photoshop) as well as Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent command of the English language and strong attention to detail.
• Passionate about people, with experience in delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to handle guest complaints with a positive attitude.
• STCW certification (or willingness to obtain).
