Chief Engineer

WE'RE HIRING EU NATIONALITY CHIEF ENGINEER
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Engineer on board General Cargo. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the management and supervision of the engine room staff and oversees the maintenance, operation, and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and structural systems onboard the ship, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and coordinating with other departments. Day-to-day tasks include planning and directing engineering activities, supervising staff, troubleshooting issues.
Qualifications
• Two years previous experience
• Excellent verbal and written command of the English languages
• STCW certification
• Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
