Marine Electrical Engineer (Marine Equipment)- Permanent - Glasgow - Competitive Salary

A leading Marine Equipment company is recruiting for a Marine Electrical Engineer to join their team in building this new part of the business in Glasgow.

You will be responsible for the designing of electrical power generation and distribution systems on board new-build vessels.

Other duties will include (but are not limited to);

• General Marine Consultancy with an electrical bias.
• Performing risk based analysis on mission based equipment in relation to the design and operation of electrical systems.
• Reviewing fault protection studies as well as short circuit analysis and other electrical studies.

You will be a good communicator and diligent to make sure that tasks are carried out efficiently and any problems are resolved.

You will come from a land based or seagoing marine electrical position with experience of performing FMEA's on marine systems.

IMCA, IMO, MTS and OCIMF guidelines and code experience or knowledge are preferred.

You will have a high level of Technical Attitude and being able to complete tasks with little assistance.
