Your responsibilities

  • Preparing and baking 4 to 5 types of bread following prescribed recipes
  • End production of various types of bread roll
  • Preparing various cakes and flans following prescribed recipes
  • Preparing sweets and desserts
  • Organising and handing over the daily cake buffet to the head chef/sous chef
  • Maintaining hygiene throughout the work area
  • Assistance with monitoring and organising orders, storage and the circulation of goods
  • Preparing and arranging dishes, also in other areas of the kitchen
  • Assistance with loading
  • Compliance with uniform code in public and non-public areas (especially when on watch)

Your profile

  • Successful completion of vocational training as baker with patisserie experience on board four-star ships
  • At least two years of professional experience/ship experience desirable
  • Knowledge of quality products that meet international standards
  • Superior knowledge of manufacturing and producing a range of bread products in the four-star category
  • Excellent knowledge of bread/bread roll production
  • Excellent knowledge of cake/dessert production
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Sound knowledge of German
  • Health certificate for the gastronomy sector
