Chef de Partie - Pastry/Baker (f/m) for river cruise ships

Tasks / Responsibilities

• Able to prepare and cook dishes as per company recipes and standards
• Manage a specific section in the kitchen
• Coordinate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow and timely service
• Keep food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation
• Responsible for cleanliness and organizing the assigned stores/s
• Taking part of crew and kitchen loading
• Compliance with HACCP requirements and labelling
• Professional food handling including buffet and guest service
• Participate in all safety drills
• Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor, e.g., luggage service, loading, and
garbage off-loading
• Assist other departments as per supervisor’s instructions
• Handling baking and other kitchen equipment
• Responsible for all sweets, fruit plates and preparing teatime cakes and teatime specials
• Responsible for preparation of cooked and baked pastries
• Able to fulfill side duties, such as preparing salads for lunch & dinner

Requirements

• A completed apprenticeship or specialized training in hospitality is required
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a comparable position
• Professional experience in 4* or 5* operations hotel or cruise ships is an advantage
• Ability to cook in one station independently
• Must has knowledge with no bake desserts
• Must has knowledge with sweet and savory baked goods
• Able to adapt to the daily changes on menu
• Active assistance of preparing daily meals
• At least basic knowledge about HACCP standards
• Minimum strong basic English or German language skills
